Celebrate Buena Vista

Celebrate Buena Vista, Inc. is dedicated to providing Buena Vista with the
opportunities to strengthen local pride by promoting the community, celebrating its
history, and encouraging its revitalization through the creation, management and
sponsorship of events and programs. Local downtown events, sponsored by Celebrate
Buena Vista and others, include:

Events planned for 2010 include:

Friday, April 16 - Inaugural Art on the Avenue, our first quarterly artwalk to be held downtown from 5-8
pm. Various businesses will stay open and host artists or musicians. Stroll through town, meet area artists and
view their work or listen to local musicians. Light refreshments will be served in many places. Klassic Kar Nutz'
monthly Cruise-in will take place on 21st Street from 6-dusk.

Saturday, April 17 - Celebrate Buena Vista Day (formerly known as Community Pride Day). Various
activities throughout the day, including volunteer opportunities to enhance the Riverwalk from 9-12; Bargain
Bustin' in BV - downtown flea market from 9-2; SVU Battle of the Bands from 12-? ; and the VFD's Barbecue
Chicken Dinner.

Saturday, June 5 - Launch of Gems of Rockbridge Geocaching Trail - 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.-
Buena Vista Regional Visitors Center.

Friday, June 18 - Art on the Avenue from 5-8 - downtown artwalk, Klassic Kar Nutz Cruise-in
